Build a combat legend of the British skies! The F-4M Phantom II in service with Great Britain! This time, one of the most recognizable interceptor fighters of Great Britain awaits you. With 728 bricks, you can build a model of the iconic F-4M Phantom II in the British version, which not only patrolled the skies over Europe and the Atlantic, but also assisted during the Falklands War in 1982. The History of the British Phantom In the 1960s, after the cancellation of the ambitious British fighter projects TSR-2 and P.1154, Great Britain decided to purchase American F-4 Phantom II aircraft. These machines were specially adapted to the needs of the Royal Navy and the RAF and received the designations FG.1 (F-4K) and FGR.2 (F-4M). British Phantoms differed from the American versions. They were equipped with locally produced Rolls-Royce Spey engines, modern electronics and a modified design that allowed them to operate from smaller aircraft carriers, such as the HMS Ark Royal. They were among the most technically advanced aircraft of their time. For many years, RAF Phantoms patrolled the skies over Europe, based both in Great Britain and in West Germany. During the Falklands War, they played a significant role in the defense of the archipelago – first operating from a base on Ascension Island, and later from the airport in Port Stanley. The Phantoms were eventually withdrawn from service. In 1992, they were replaced by the Tornado F3. However, they left behind a lasting legacy as reliable, versatile and modern fighter jets that served the British armed forces for decades. Why build the F-4M Phantom II RAF model from COBI? 728 elements – Built from high-quality bricks, the model includes many details that replicate the British F-4M versions, including modified engines, additional armament and RAF markings. Printed RAF markings – The model does not contain stickers. All emblems, RAF insignia, numbers and markings are authentic and printed directly on the bricks, making them durable, precise and resistant to abrasion. Realistic functionality - Movable control surfaces, retractable landing gear, opening cockpit and added armament such as Skyflash and AIM-9 air-to-air missiles make the model great not only as a display piece but also as an interactive play set. Simplified figures of British RAF pilots - The set includes simplified versions of RAF crew figures in helmets with oxygen masks. They fit perfectly into the cockpit and wonderfully complement the model. Display stand with collector's plaque - The model can be displayed on a sturdy, movable stand with a white plaque showing the aircraft name, scale and the flag of Great Britain, which is perfect for any collector's display case. Fun and decoration in one - Once assembled, the model becomes not only a great toy but also a unique decorative element. It is ideal as a decoration for any fan of history and military equipment.
